Most in the industry know the evolution of storm water mitigation, which initially was implemented as a measure to reduce pollution from runoff into receiving bodies of water. As urban development continued to grow, another problem arose – more impervious surface meant more runoff, and it became evident that the aging storm water and sewer infrastructure was not capable of handling the increased flows.
