Temporary drought relief program offers assistance to Shafter family without running water

Through a partnership between Self-Help Enterprises, Kern County Public Health Services, Community Action Partnership of Kern (CAPK), and local water companies, Kern County residents are receiving drought relief services, including emergency water tanks through the Temporary Water Assistance Program. The water tank system restores a limited supply of water to homes. Juanita Garcia shares her story living without water.
