Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP) Review Workshop in Planada
August 13, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Class Navigation
The future of groundwater management is underway. As required under the Sustainable
Groundwater Management Act (SGMA), the three Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs) in
the Merced Subbasin have worked together to develop a Draft Groundwater Sustainability Plan
(GSP). The GSP is a roadmap for how groundwater will be sustainably managed for years to come.
The draft GSP is now available for your review and comment.
We encourage you to take part in this important review process by attending the
Groundwater Sustainability Plan Review Workshop. The workshop will also discuss
important issues that can affect the water you use in your home. Your comments on the Draft
GSP are vital to helping address water quality and water supply challenges in your
community.
The official 30-day public review and comment period will conclude on August 19, 2019.
A Public Hearing will take place on September 18, 2019 at 6 pm at the Merced Civic Center.
DISCUSION TOPICS:
- What is the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA)?
- Your local Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA)

- Review of the Groundwater Sustainability Plan: Help protect your human right to safe
drinking water
