Self-Help Enterprises will receive a $520,000 AHP award to help in its mission to work with low-income families to build and sustain healthy homes and communities in Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Stanislaus, and Tulare counties through homebuyer assistance, repair assistance, communal construction of homes and other related projects. The grant money will be used for the construction of Self-Help Enterprises’ Madera Village project that provides multifamily housing for low and very-low income households with designated units for homeless individuals with special needs or mental illness.
