Volunteers from the Tulare County Association of Realtors worked alongside 12 families in Tulare who are building their new, safe, healthy home through Self-Help Enterprises’ New Homes program.
After nearly a year with a dry well, a new water well was drilled at the home of Kingsburg resident Abelardo De Leon Garcia. Self-Help Enterprises worked together with the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Rural Development to identify funding sources for the new well.
Self-Help Enterprises will be implementing the Cal-Home, HOME, Community Development Block Grants and Loan Portfolio Management on behalf of the City of Farmersville.
Self-Help Enterprises is implementing the First-Time Homebuyer program for the City of Tulare. Through the program, residents may be eligible to receive down-payment assistance to buy their first home.
The County of Kings has hired Self-Help Enterprises to conduct an income survey on the County’s behalf, which is required to obtain funding to construct a water treatment facility for the community of Armona.
