The U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development department has granted $100,000 to Self-Help Enterprises of Visalia to provide low-interest loans to residents whose wells have gone dry.
Residents of Monson have been running out of water in their wells over the last few months. Self-Help Enterprises is offering individual, low-interest loans for well replacement up to $11,000.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development department has granted $100,000 to Self-Help Enterprises of Visalia to help people who have no water because their private wells have gone dry.
Three local water companies have received USDA funding to locate and install a new well, including Lake of the Woods Mutual Water Company who Self-Help Enterprises is working with.
Private wells throughout Cameron Creek Colony have gone dry. Self Help Enterprises has been working with the community to connect Cameron Creek to Farmersville’s water system.
